Sunglasses were originally meant to protect our eyes, but they have also become a fashion statement for men and women across the worldAfter all, nobody wants to wear an unflattering pair of shades, but how exactly do you find the right ones? Turns out, the way a pair of sunglasses will look on you will depend on your face shape.

Here we go through the different face shapes to help you find the right sunglasses for you:

Oval face shape

If you have an oval face, then congratulations! You have the most versatile shape of all of the face shapes out there. Practically any kind of frames will fit your face, but square or rectangular shades are especially flattering.

Round face shape

A round face is as wide as it is long, with soft curves and cheekbones. The best frames for this face shape are ones that have sharp, angular lines to contrast the roundness of your face. This means rectangular, or square shades, although some aviator shades would also work.

Heart face shape

A heart face shape is wide at the forehead and then narrows at the jaw. Unlike the round face, the heart face is more angular, meaning you’ll want round or oval-shaped frames in order to soften out those angles.

Triangle face shape

A triangle face is the opposite of a heart face where it’s widest at the jaw and narrowest at the forehead. Frames such as aviator frames that are heavy at the top and light at the bottom, then, will work wonders to balance out your face.

Square face shape

A square face often gets confused with a round face because it’s as wide as it is long. However, a square face is more angular and has more pronounced cheekbones than a round face. As such, you should get round or oval-shaped frames to soften these sharp features.

Here at ShadeTree Sunglasses, we have plenty of different shapes and sizes of sunglasses for you to choose from. Look through our inventory today to get started!
